Watch the nocturnal animals come to life in the zoo after dark on the “Nocturnal Tour.”  See the animals in the wild during the “Savannah Nature Trail Tour,” which meanders through the pine savannah. Nestled in the foothills of the Maya Mountains on the bank of the Macal River are the beautiful Belize Botanic Gardens. The gardens feature spectacular collections of native and exotic plants. The Native Orchid House features hundreds of vibrant orchids, many of which are in bloom during the months of April and May, however the Black Orchid, Belize’s national flower, is in bloom everyday.
