Nassau was at the heart of the Golden Age of Piracy from 1690 to 1720 and the home of one of the most famous pirates, Blackbeard. The Pirates Museum is nestled in three historical buildings: The Slave Kitchen, the Lofthouse and the Marlborough Arms, which are approximately 200 years old. Discover what life was like at sea in the lower decks of a wooden pirate ship with swinging hammocks, canons and gambling sessions. The Rogues Gallery features pirate related stories and films and shows that the reality is more exciting than the numerous myths and legends. See real objects, cutlasses, flintlock pistols and other items related to the Golden Age of Piracy at the Real Remains of the Pirate Age exhibit.
