Month Visited: August
Our family likes to get off the usual tourist path sometimes, looking for remote areas and out of the way places with different cultures and populations. We also enjoy comfort and luxury at times, and we are willing to try the top tourist spots in an area when we visit as well. Being active and exploring nature are also favorite things for us, and we want each day to be as full as possible no matter what we are doing. Our children at the time of this itinerary: 3 children-Boy age 17 years, Boy age 12 years, Boy age 10 years.

Description: Knott’s Berry Farm is a top Los Angeles destination, for tourists and those who live in the area. There are several types of rides to pick from, and each will have a different theme and offer a different experience. Visitors get a variety of rides and amusement types for a single price. Roller coasters, rides for small children and entire families, and a wide range of games and challenges can be found at this amusement park, and it is designed for all ages and family preferences..
Our Experiences: We decided to visit Knott’s Berry Farm, and this was a good place for the kids to have fun and run off some energy. Everyone rode a variety of rides, and we browsed through the small shops and eateries as well. The price for a full day of fun and entertainment was really reasonable at slightly less than $40 per person. This stop received a big thumbs up from everyone in our family.
Address: Redondo Beach Pier, California
Overall Rating: 5 Stars
Description: Redondo beach is one of a few very popular venues for outside free concerts in the South Bay area – places like Hermosa beach, Manhattan beach, and El Segundo – each have their own series of free summer concerts. Highly recommended for anyone in the area, to close the day with some great live music.
Our Experiences: After spending the day and part of the evening at the theme park we decided to go to another popular Los Angeles destination. We went to the pier area and enjoyed a concert of beach music under the night sky. This was really relaxing, and the kids were so tired from all the activity earlier in the day that they sat through the concert without any complaints. A nice stop, but active children may not want to sit in one place for too long.
