Fishing On Lake Placid Great Family Trip Experience
Our Experiences: The fishing on Lake Placid was incredible, and everyone had a great time. The fish were biting enough so that even the kids were reeling them in, and the natural beauty of the setting was gorgeous. Whether you fish from shore or you choose to go out in a boat you are sure to have a great time fishing on Lake Placid, and when the fishing is slow you have the scenic landscape to make the trip worthwhile. If anyone in your family has motion sickness then a boat trip may not be advisable though, and in this case you may want to fish from shore instead.
Admission: Cheap and reasonably priced, depending on the company and options chosen

Description: White water rafting is one of the top activities in the Adirondacks and for those who visit Lake Placid, and there are many streams and rivers of varying difficulties that are perfect for all ages and skill levels. In the spring the white water rafting can be more intense due to the runoff of melted snow, but as summer approaches these bodies of water tend to calm down and can be ideal for families and those with little or no experience with this activity.
Our Experiences: This was a thrilling and exciting adventure, but the water was not so rough that the kids became alarmed or scared. The trip was a big hit and the kids want to go again the next time we are in the area. The time of year that you visit will help determine whether this type of rafting is a good pick, and very young children may not enjoy this activity as much. We enjoyed the experience and think many other families would also find it to be a great pick.
