Months Visited: August
We like to see new places and try new things, we are fairly adventurous and we like excitement. We enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, and we are willing to give up luxury or go outside of our comfort zone in order to experience remote attractions that many tourists miss. Many of our days are packed to the max, but we also include times when we can relax and just have fun without following a rigid schedule as well. We like to stay in luxury and be pampered sometimes, but we also enjoy active stops and educational activities. Our children at the time of this itinerary: 3 children-Boy age 14 years, Boy age 9 years, Boy age 7 years.

Description: Hamat Gader is a very popular attraction in the Galilee region of Israel. This spa complex is the oldest in Israel, and also the largest in the country as well. Visitors will find more than 40 acres which include a number of covered areas, lawns, baths that date back to ancient Roman times, hot mineral springs and pools, and one of the biggest crocodile farms that can be found in the Middle East. There are 17 treatment rooms, professional massage therapists, and a wide range of water and massage treatments to choose from for those who want a spa treatment.
Our Experiences: We spent a big part of the day at Hamat Gader, and we all had a terrific time here. In the Central Bath Complex we even saw a hot water waterfall, and the kids had a lot of fun just like the adults. We went swimming and enjoyed the hot mineral springs, and the adults found the spa very relaxing and rejuvenating. When we explored the crocodile farm this area was one of the highlights of the trip for the boys, they were thrilled to see the various alligator and crocodile species up close. There is something at this stop that everyone will enjoy immensely.
Description: The Galilee region of Israel includes some of the most incredible landscapes and terrain that can be found anywhere in the world. Exploring this region on horseback can be a terrific way to take in the beauty and history of the area and see much more than you would on foot. The ride itself is an exciting experience, and you can see some historic locations and exquisite scenery along the way. A number of stables in the area offer horse rentals and some also offer guides if these are needed.
Our Experiences: We enjoy horseback riding, and our ride through the Galilee area was fantastic. The horses were well trained, and from start to finish we were in awe of our surroundings and the natural beauty that we found. This stop may not be right for anyone afraid of horses or those with physical conditions that would make riding a horse uncomfortable or dangerous, but for our family it was a big hit with everyone.
