We want to do as many things and see as many places as we can each day, and we enjoy spending quality time together. Description: An ATV tour of Costa Rica allows visitors to get off the beaten path and experience the real beauty that this tropical paradise has to offer. These vehicles can take you through the forests, into mountainous terrain, and even down the beach so no place is off limits. You will get to see the natural splendor that Costa Rica offers the way the locals do, and experience some of the best spots on the island that many tourists never get to experience.
Our Experiences: This tour was a top favorite with everyone, and it is an adventure that most would enjoy. We had a fantastic time, riding the ATVs and exploring the jungle and the mountains close to Jaco. My youngest son could not stop talking about the experience and called it the best day of his entire life. He is in shape because he participates in sports but some kids may need to gain experience before they attempt the mountainous trails. During our tour me made a stop at a tilapia farm in order to eat lunch and get in some fishing. The last hour of our tour was spent in the rain but all of the kids still had a great time and loved every minute. Riding the ATV is exciting and the scenery on Costa Rica is fantastic. This stop has the highest recommendation from our family.
Admission: Free or nominal cost
Description: The music of Costa Rica is enchanting, and a classical guitar concert can be a great way to relax while enjoying the local music and culture. There are many places which hold concerts, and sometimes you may find street musicians who play this instrument as well. If you want to take a rest and get some down time then a concert can be a terrific idea.
Our Experiences: This concert was lovely, and after a day spent on ATVs we were ready to sit down and relax for a while. The music was soothing and far better that we had expected, and even the kids were willing to sit and enjoy the concert. It helped that we spent the day with a very physical activity so the kids had little energy left.
Admission: Cost varies by company and amenities that are included
Description: A zipline across the canopy of the jungles of Costa Rica can be an exhilarating adventure, and there are a number of companies which offer this activity. You will get to see the entire island in a new light, and have a lot of fun while doing it. You will get a birds eye view of the canopy and the surrounding terrain, for awe inspiring vistas that are unforgettable. Zip across numerous lines, resting on platforms and taking in the scenic vistas. A zipline tour will let you experience an exciting adventure that you will always remember.
Our Experiences: Our zipline tour and adventure was great, and there were escape hatches on the platforms for those who did not want to continue which was an excellent idea. All of our kids had a blast on this tour but it may not be suitable for younger kids or those who are scared of heights. We highly recommend this tour for other families who like excitement and adventure. Be cautious about purchasing photos though, we found that these were very expensive.
