Fun, Easy Family Weekends for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Residents
Just because summer has come to a close doesn’t mean that family fun and adventure are over. While summer may be prime time for big vacations, fall lends itself wonderfully to weekend excursions, day trips and exploring close to home. With all the craziness of back to school and new routines, taking time off on the weekends to enjoy each others company can really bring the family closer and provide much needed relief from the business of day to day life.
For residents of the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area, we’ve constructed a series of exciting days that aren’t big on travel time or packing the day full of activities. Spend more time together, exploring at a leisurely pace and taking in the fall foliage as well as generally enjoying the outdoors before winter sets in.
See the new itineraries HERE, HERE and HERE.
NOTE: Be sure to double check availability dates as some of these activities are time sensitive and only available during certain dates.
Be sure to bring a camera as we’ve included some wonderful vistas along the way, perfect for fall photos of the kids and gorgeous examples of leaves changing and seasonal colors.
Our recommended days explore the Hudson Valley and upstate New York in smaller pieces. Take one as a day trip, or link two together with a stay in a quaint local inn or campground for a weekend getaway that stills sees you back in time for a Sunday dinner at home.
Enjoy A Family Trip To A Tri State Destination And Save
The other advantage of our proposed fall excursions is the cost. While summer vacations may have been more extravagant, there is no need to break the bank on a relaxing fall day. Many of the destinations we have included are free, others are comparatively inexpensive and still others allow for a great deal of flexibility: you choose what you want to do and pay for as much or as little activity as you like.
Here at RealFamilyTrips.com we are all about empowering you and your family to find and do what feels right. Find your comfort zone and enjoy a variety of destinations chosen by and recommended for real families that aren’t just possible, they’re exciting.
As always we try to cater to different types of families and we have put together days that cater to more active pursuits, as well as more relaxed paces. Without straying far from home, tri-state residents can enjoy a wealth of history, nature, food, fun and more.
We hope you enjoy our take on a fun fall weekend. Stay tuned as we plan on bringing you more such opportunities, exciting destinations for other parts of the country and more seasonal itineraries as we move through another year.
